What is a good home space? Housing is always the first priority to meet the various needs of people. In general, a good home space that can provide residents with a good home experience.
When it comes to lighting design, many people have a misunderstanding: Isn't it just installing a light? Is there any good design? But this design that you think is humble has "pitted" many designers:
The location of the lamps is wrong, and the effect of the plan cannot be produced. Party A’s "death-taking series"; the light is too bright, the living is uncomfortable, and the owner makes a lot of noise; the color temperature and illuminance of the light are wrong, but the cool design is beyond recognition...

What is the lighting design?
1. Type of lighting
There are three main types of lighting: ambient light, contour light, and focus light.
a. Ambient light: the conventional light source with the largest lighting range, can not see the direct light source and direction, and has soft illumination.
b. Contour light: It mainly emphasizes the contours of walls, ceilings, etc., to create a sense of hierarchy in the space, and can also add to the beauty of the interior.
c. Focus light: Relatively small lighting range, concentrated light, mainly used to create a local atmosphere.
2. Lighting method
Lighting methods are mainly divided into: direct lighting, indirect lighting, diffuse lighting, effect lighting, accent lighting, and wall washing.
a, direct lighting
The indoor and outdoor maple leaves rendered by the dim light seem to be a whole, like a space illuminated by the afterglow of the falling sun at dusk, quiet and beautiful.
b. Indirect lighting
Indirect lighting is mainly reflected from a surface and then spread throughout the environment.
C. Accent lighting
Accent lighting is a light source directly above a prominent object (such as a painting or sculpture). Usually used in residential and commercial environments, but also in museum spaces. But pay attention to the illuminance, because under direct light irradiation, the temperature of the object will rise, resulting in reduced performance.

How to create space lighting effects?
In the lighting design of the space, it is impossible to create the space environment in one way alone. It is a combination of different techniques to meet the design requirements. Like the space in the picture above, direct lighting, indirect lighting and intelligent control methods are used to change different colors in different space areas, and dry ice atomization combined with light interpretation is added to enhance the entire indoor atmosphere in all dimensions and multiple dimensions.
There are no clear regulations on the lighting space creation method. Today, for everyone's understanding, we will summarize the 8 lighting methods mentioned above into 3 categories: direct lighting, indirect lighting, and deductive lighting.
1. Design of direct lighting
Direct lighting is the main lighting method in the space. It can be used as the basis, function, focus, decoration and other lighting methods, but the form of lighting is also different according to the space and the needs of the use.
Work space is mainly to improve work efficiency; in addition to the use of functions, hotel lighting needs to consider the creation of a quiet and comfortable environment, with reduced brightness and illuminance; in hospital spaces, more shadowless designs and meet the needs of diagnosis and treatment.
In addition, direct lighting can also take into account decorative lighting. The soft-film ceiling design we talked about is a way to combine basic lighting, lamp types and decorative effects.
2. Design of indirect lighting
Indirect lighting is generally used as auxiliary lighting and decorative lighting, but in small spaces or spaces with low requirements for lighting brightness, indirect lighting can also be used as basic lighting.
3. As decorative lighting
As decorative lighting, the most commonly used are cabinet lighting and special outlines of ceilings and walls. In addition, indirect lighting can also be combined with interior or furniture decoration, using artistic techniques such as back light and silhouette.
